April....

Here is Gordon and my brother Whits little girl, Ireland...she is just over 5 months older than him...Look at the size difference...it is so funny he ways 22.5 lbs and she isn't even 20 yet!!!  so adorable aren't they!!!

 

 We decided to let Ellyn do soccer this spring...something none of our other kids have done. She is loving it...and I'm gonna brag a bit but on her first game her team made 3 goal..she made 2 of those..not to mention she is the only girl on her team...gotta love her!!!

 here we are trying to get some Easter pictures....not working out so well, but what can I expect with 5 little kiddos!!!

 Grant turned 3 this month...we didn't do anything real big..just made some cupcakes and had some pizza, with just our little family...!!!    Happy birthday little guy!!!

 Bitter/Sweet picture:   Bitter..My dad had a stroke this month. was in the hospital/rehabilitation for nearly 2 1/2 weeks..    Sweet...so we had lots of family get togethers during this time which is where this picture was taken...i like this picture Gordon and my dad just hanging out taking in all the chaos..

 We went to one of Nat's cheer competitions...got 1st place!!!  I love it, my cute little cheerleader!!

Happy New Years!!!

Grant definitely keeps us going...and that is no joke!!!
January 1st....12:15 a.m. cleaning up at nicks sisters house after the New Years Eve party, Grant sticks his hand under the recliner and Nick slides back and then an E.R. visit to get his finger sewn back together...
January 2nd....that evening Grant falls and hits his head on our fireplace....4 staples in his head.
with all of this happening to him he has definitely handled it a whole lot better than i ever would..

On the bright side...Gordo Gorilla...!!!4 months old..

What happens when your kids get a hold of your camera....

This is definitely not the first time that the kids have gotten a hold of my camera, but i just had to post a few of these photos so i can remember one of the reasons i love being a mom.

Waiting for wes's next wresting match....so when Wes came home from school with a note about the wrestling club i just wanted to throw it away...I've never been a real fan of wrestling...Nick and i both..but Wes really wanted to so we figured what the heck!!! Wes is definitely a natural at it..he did so good..he ended up getting 2nd at state...which is really good for him starting just this year...we are so proud of him..and are now fans of wrestling..

Gordon...my little chunky monkey... love this little man..!!! it is just so sad to me at how fast they grow and change right before your eyes..

I am hoping to do better at blogging this next year...its been a little crazy/busy with 5 little kids..but i think it is a great way to Journal...so we will see!! but for now Merry Christmas and Happy new year!!!

In the mood!!!

Well I figured I should probably post a little bit of whats ben going on this summer while i'm in the mood...
This summer i have been extremely lazy...that's how i roll when i am prego..Not to mention this summer has kinda been crazy with being pregnant, getting my appendix out in June, Dealing with the heat and not to mention being diagnosed with gestational diabetes with this pregnancy has been quite a trip.....can't wait for this pregnancy to be done....any how, I decided that i should put in a little of what we have been doing this summer..

Fishing...or at least trying too.
We got the kids fishing poles for Easter thinking it would be kinda fun to take the kids fishing this summer...we got in a few trips before the poles were busted..but at least the kids enjoyed themselves!!!

Ellyn had her dance recital in June and loved it...she did so good. I was so proud of her!!!

A little bit of camping we did, was fun even though i couldn't do much cause of just getting my appendix out. But the kids are never bored with Nick..He always has something fun for them to do.

irrigating is always a blast for the kids...We get to flood the lawn a couple of times a summer and we take full advantage of it...Notice how Nat and Wes are floating down the ditch in a snow sled..I didn't think it would work, but they proved my wrong...I love it!!!

4th of July...This year we ended up Tye dying shirts for the kids...the kids thought that was pretty awesome...they all stood out pretty good too.

I feel that the best part of this summer has actually been just staying home and sitting in the yard watching the kids swim and play in the sand box...I really don't think anything feels better than that..just relaxing!!!

The kids love it!!! Nick is always thinking of ways to entertain the kiddos....we even have a clothes line that goes round and round....Nick will push them till their flying vertical on it...but they love it!!! i guess till someone gets hurt. right???

Bringing an old family tradition alive.....as a kid we always stopped at Hills Air Force Base coming home from Utah....Its a museum of all kinds of planes...Big and small, old and new. there is also an area inside with a lot of neat history on planes and such.....So here we are on our way home from Lagoon and Hogle zoo and decided to stop and let the kids see all the planes.....I was actually very surprised at how much they enjoyed stopping here that we might have to do it more often.....
another thing about this place is it makes me think of my little brother Clint who is in Afghanistan right now serving in the Air force.....proud of you little bro...!!!!

Hogle Zoo trip!!!
I love the Hogle zoo...not to long and not to short!!!! The only bummer about the zoo was it rained off and on, but for the most part we enjoyed it...except for Ellyn, she was being a stinker and wouldn't get in any pictures....that's Ellyn for ya!!!

I love this picture....i'm so mean...Grant wanted away as fast as he could and was freaking out from all the sounds and movements coming from this dinosaur.... so what do i do, i make Nick stay there so i could take a picture....bwwaaahahaha!!!

Wes was in heaven with the wolves!!! he is so obsessed with wolves. We could hardly pull him away from this exhibit!!!

Dance season 2011 has come to an end....Nat really enjoyed it this year...and can't wait till next year!!! We were able to go to quite a few competitions this year and was able to end with a big shebang at the Lagoon competition with all 1st place....!!!
