Happy New Years!!!

Grant definitely keeps us going...and that is no joke!!!
January 1st....12:15 a.m. cleaning up at nicks sisters house after the New Years Eve party, Grant sticks his hand under the recliner and Nick slides back and then an E.R. visit to get his finger sewn back together...
January 2nd....that evening Grant falls and hits his head on our fireplace....4 staples in his head.
with all of this happening to him he has definitely handled it a whole lot better than i ever would..

On the bright side...Gordo Gorilla...!!!4 months old..

This is definitely not the first time that the kids have gotten a hold of my camera, but i just had to post a few of these photos so i can remember one of the reasons i love being a mom.

Waiting for wes's next wresting match....so when Wes came home from school with a note about the wrestling club i just wanted to throw it away...I've never been a real fan of wrestling...Nick and i both..but Wes really wanted to so we figured what the heck!!! Wes is definitely a natural at it..he did so good..he ended up getting 2nd at state...which is really good for him starting just this year...we are so proud of him..and are now fans of wrestling..

Gordon...my little chunky monkey... love this little man..!!! it is just so sad to me at how fast they grow and change right before your eyes..

Well I figured I should probably post a little bit of whats ben going on this summer while i'm in the mood...
This summer i have been extremely lazy...that's how i roll when i am prego..Not to mention this summer has kinda been crazy with being pregnant, getting my appendix out in June, Dealing with the heat and not to mention being diagnosed with gestational diabetes with this pregnancy has been quite a trip.....can't wait for this pregnancy to be done....any how, I decided that i should put in a little of what we have been doing this summer..

Fishing...or at least trying too.
We got the kids fishing poles for Easter thinking it would be kinda fun to take the kids fishing this summer...we got in a few trips before the poles were busted..but at least the kids enjoyed themselves!!!

Ellyn had her dance recital in June and loved it...she did so good. I was so proud of her!!!

A little bit of camping we did, was fun even though i couldn't do much cause of just getting my appendix out. But the kids are never bored with Nick..He always has something fun for them to do.

irrigating is always a blast for the kids...We get to flood the lawn a couple of times a summer and we take full advantage of it...Notice how Nat and Wes are floating down the ditch in a snow sled..I didn't think it would work, but they proved my wrong...I love it!!!

4th of July...This year we ended up Tye dying shirts for the kids...the kids thought that was pretty awesome...they all stood out pretty good too.

I feel that the best part of this summer has actually been just staying home and sitting in the yard watching the kids swim and play in the sand box...I really don't think anything feels better than that..just relaxing!!!

Bringing an old family tradition alive.....as a kid we always stopped at Hills Air Force Base coming home from Utah....Its a museum of all kinds of planes...Big and small, old and new. there is also an area inside with a lot of neat history on planes and such.....So here we are on our way home from Lagoon and Hogle zoo and decided to stop and let the kids see all the planes.....I was actually very surprised at how much they enjoyed stopping here that we might have to do it more often.....
another thing about this place is it makes me think of my little brother Clint who is in Afghanistan right now serving in the Air force.....proud of you little bro...!!!!

Hogle Zoo trip!!!
I love the Hogle zoo...not to long and not to short!!!! The only bummer about the zoo was it rained off and on, but for the most part we enjoyed it...except for Ellyn, she was being a stinker and wouldn't get in any pictures....that's Ellyn for ya!!!

I love this picture....i'm so mean...Grant wanted away as fast as he could and was freaking out from all the sounds and movements coming from this dinosaur.... so what do i do, i make Nick stay there so i could take a picture....bwwaaahahaha!!!

Wes was in heaven with the wolves!!! he is so obsessed with wolves. We could hardly pull him away from this exhibit!!!

Dance season 2011 has come to an end....Nat really enjoyed it this year...and can't wait till next year!!! We were able to go to quite a few competitions this year and was able to end with a big shebang at the Lagoon competition with all 1st place....!!!

on March 9th Ellyn turned the big 4.....she loved the whole day being about her.....she was counting down to this day for probably 2 months.....every day she would ask if it was her birthday yet.....finally it came!!!!
We made it very simple....her favorite place....McDonalds....with her favorite color cupcakes...blue.

During February Nick and I got some major Cabin Fever and decided to go to Vegas for the week.....I didn't take a whole lot of pictures....mainly just at the wax museum and the Temple....
We did a lot walking and went to Chris Angel-mind freak magic guy....it was mostly nice just to relax and not have to be anywhere at anytime......

I loved the Temple part of the trip...very beautiful inside....I think this was my favorite part of the trip....

Call me cRaZy but here is baby #5.......Due September 2, 2011....Somedays i feel extremely crazy and other days i feel like were doing the right thing..(multiplying and replenishing the earth)haha!!! so now we are gonna break the tie = 2 boys vs. 2 girls)...wonder what its gonna be....i think we've decided to wait till its born to find out what it is...just to keep the excitement going...!!!!

I think the older i get the wimpier i get with the COLD......brr. i am not a fan of cold, but i still try to have some fun with the kids outside......

This year Grandma bought this little snow coach...we have been loving it...Ive even enjoyed it, it actually rides quite nice....lots of fun...

The nice thing about it is we can stuff a bunch of kids in it and they love it!!!

Nick and i were wasting time one day and decided to drive up to the farm...We saw this massive snow bank and had to stop for a pic.....we thought it was pretty cool!!!

We had such a great surprise this Christmas. We all were a little bummed that my little brother Clint wouldn't be able to celebrate Christmas with us for a second year in a row. He has been in California at an Air force base preparing to head out to Afghanistan the first part of January...but after talking to him on Christmas eve wishing him a merry Christmas, feeling bad for him and us, and hoping he had something to do for Christmas.....the best surprise ever. Christmas Eve my parents were sitting home and in walked Clint.....My moms tears were unstoppable..so sweet!!!

Every Christmas morning we have a Christmas breakfast with my family...this year it was at my house...that is one tradition i am hoping lasts forever!!!

We have had quite some fun celebrating Natalies birthday...she turned the Big 8....The year we celebrated Natalie and Seirras birthday with the merrills at the bowling alley...that is a great place to have birthday parties....they made the girls feel really special for their birthday!!!
Nat also got another party with the Jensens...pizza, cake and icecream at our house....

Nat also had a little friend party this year. I took them to get manicures and then to the cocoa bean(best cupcake around) Nat had alot of fun....

Dec. 4th was also a special day for Nat....Nick baptized her...i just can't believe i have one old enough to baptize...it was a very neat experience for her,even though the fonts hot water heater was broke.....it didn't seem to bother Nat at all....

December 6th. Nick turned the big 30!!! and i pulled off a super surprise party for him...i was so glad it worked out the way i had planned...thanks to all the friends and family who was able to help pull this off....He had no clue!!!

Halloween 2010

I know its a little late for our Halloween Post, But I guess it's ok right?

This year the three older kids had decided what they were going to be for Halloween on their own. So i had Grant left to decide for???....So anyways, driving truck this year in the potatoes is where I came up with the idea Grant could be a Sack of Potatoes....Easy, Cheap, Fast, and Adorable!!!

Here is Nat as a Punk Rocker....We had a lot of fun thinking up ideas for hers......Wes was a Vampire....(one of his obsessions along with Wolves)...

...girly as can be and blue being her favorite color, She decided on a sweet little Blue Butterfly!!!

We Went to a Straw Maze a little while before Halloween and the kids loved it...i'm not a real big fan of them...i think because i stress too much about Fires!!! i know crazy but really it's not a good thought.

This year we decided to hang with my family for Trick-or-Treating... Every year after we it the trunk or treat they go up to a place in Island Park.....called Haunted Harriman!!!! so so Fun!!! it involves: Wagon rides, trick-or-treating from cabin to cabin, Hot chocolate, cookies, games for the kids, spooks, and of course FREE!!!! It was great for us and great for the Kids!!!

To Blog or Not to Blog????

I can't help but go back and forth, back and forth on whether to keep blogging... I have mixed emotions on it all the time...I debate between thinking blogging is just a place to brag and i really don't want to be known to do that...But then i look at alot of other blogs and realize how great of a journal it is...not for everyone else, but for ME!!! So there is my answer. To Blog!!!

So after the busy summer things have sorta slowed down...I'm kinda getting a little bit of order back into my life...
This is the first day of school....boy oh boy was Wes excited to get on that bus...He tells me that was the best part of the Day!!! As for Nat she couldn't wait to meet her teacher. I had to throw this picture in for a lovely memory for me...Brotherly Love...Wes is reading a tractor book to Grant...i can already tell Grant is going to be a die hard John Deere man just like Wes!!!

Our Favorite place to go during Fall....the Duck Park!!! Look at that they are eating the bread right out of my hands...it is so funny to watch these ducks attack...and i mean literally attack!!

And again another year has come and gone....this year has to be the fasted potato harvest ever...the weather was awesome during it, and i even drove truck this year...YIKES!!! I managed...it was so much fun, and so many great memories.

So i have been needing to update for a while....life has been incredibly busy...but fun....hopefully i will be able to keep up after this time....so here we go....a little of May, June, and July.....

-newest member of our family....oh yes..there are definitely days that i wonder why oh why did i add this to my busy life....but it always ends up me loving this little tyke....Rosco...he is such a cutie!!! Memorial day weekend started out to be a bummer...we were suppose to go camping with the Riley's, but the rain took over...so we ended up going to Jason's dads cabin and we let the fun begin from there...
one day we went to Big Springs and fed the fish

we went and drove around Quake Lake...that is always a fun little drive for us!!! there is so much to see and so much to read about...

We went on a four wheeler ride....brrrr!!! so so cold and there was quite a bit of snow the higher we got...we also saw Grizzly bear tracks(that's when i said i'm getting the heck outta here)

This summer Wes has finally decided it's OK to ride his dirt bike without the training wheels...I'm very impressed with how fast he has learned how to ride that....he loves it!!!

Grant has learned quite a bit from our puppy...those two together are the funniest thing ever...they fight like crazy...i just have to sit back and laugh as they work it out!!!

Some of our friends invited us over to cook some Sm ores and to let the kids play...they loved it!!!

4th of July...we watched the parade in Rexburg, Nat was in it with Dance Addiction...I thought she looked super adorable!!!

Date night boating....we thought it would be something different to go boating for a date night...it was a little weird without the kids in the boat, but it was a lot of fun....

Wes had his first T-ball game the other day and it was so fun to watch..and he was lucky enough to be on the same team as his best bud/cousin Lyv....I can't believe Wes is already old enough to start playing sports....I wish i would have worked with him a little before cause he had NO CLUE which way to run....but no biggy...it was a blast to watch....hilarious!!! i love this little guy...he is always bringing excitement into our home.

Old Mcdonald had a farm..........
We did it!!!! Went and got some chicks......15 of them.....I have always thought how disgusting chickens are and how i never want them....... now we have them.....but i am really kinda excited to have them. Reasoning......eggs, chores for kids, and the kids love it....we also have and old Chicken coop out back that Nick has been fixing up for them so it will be a nice little area for them.... Gotta love the farm life!!!!

Turning the big 1.......
I really can't believe that Grant is already ONE.....He has been such a fun addition to our family, and i am so lucky to have been blessed with the JOY of MOTHERHOOD!!! I couldn't have asked for anything else........

.....For Grants birthday we ended up spending it at Gringos(he picked the place)...it was all about the fried ice cream.....hummmm!!!!

We got him this little john deere ride tractor that plays music and he can also push it along.....he absolutely loves it....!!!

We love you so much Grant and could not live without ya!!!!!

on the 9th of March my little lady turned 3....wow time flies... we started her day going to lunch with grandma Lynda...and then came home and got ready for her birthday party with the jensens....she had a full day of birthday fun and is still livin it up.....happy birthday ells....we love you so much and enjoy every little bit of sassyness that you bring to our family......

We spent 9 days in florida at Disney World with Nicks whole family(27 of us) and came home with 4 cranky kids, nasty colds, lots of dirty laundry and the best memories i could ever ask for.....it was so much fun...

finally, we were able to go up to the Farm this month and go sledding....it's one of the biggest and longest hills up there....at least for the kids...but it is definitely fun for me too...We usually take Nicks snow machine so he can pull the kids back up the hill so they don't get to tired after one trip down...it is so much fun!!! hopefully we can do it some more before the snow is all gone. Wes just sittin and waiting.....

Christmas Eve Events.....

the annual Christmas Dance held at the Burton church....this is where you go and the kids run around a big christmas tree for about an hour and then Santa Claus comes and the kids get to sit on his lap and he hands them a bag of goodies....sounds a little cheesy, but it's a blast!!! It has now been going on for many many years...and hopefully many more!!!

After the dance we head over to Grandma jensen's and wait for Santa Claus to visit there....

Grants no baby anymore.....last week was a big week for Grant... He learned how to crawl, clap his hands, and fall down the stairs(oops)...and among all that, he received his 2nd, 3rd, and 4th tooth...I sure love this baby...he is so fun to just sit and watch. he is always having to keep up with the other kids, any time they are yelling, playing, screaming...Grant joins right in and lets us know what he is thinking too....He is such a happy boy and i love him so so much!!!

WELCOME HOME CLINT!!!
My little brother Clint is home for a few weeks after completing basic training....We were able to go pick him up at the airport on Wednesday, which was also Natalie's birthday and my niece Seirras birthday...after he arrived at the airport we went and celebrated with a lunch a Sizzler..yum yum...on December 6th Clint heads to San Jose Cal. for a few years with the Air force. until then we are glad to have him home and spend thanksgiving with him.
That night we celebrated Nat's birthday with the Jensen's....it was a blast...thanks everyone!!!
I can't believe she is a whopping 7 years old....crazy~!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAT!!!
During her party she took a bite of her cake and munched down on yet another tooth.....that makes 4 missing teeth that haven't yet grown in....i told her we are going to have to find some child dentures so she can keep on eating...lol!!!

After a full day of fussing and crying from teething, a moment like this makes up for everything!

FHE~Last Monday night was a great and fun family home evening, we went to the church and played basketball with Nicks family....I never thought something so simple could turn into so much fun(even though I can't play worth a dang)...i think we will have to do it more often...

We had a really nice and relaxing Halloween this year....we started out at Parker's trunk or treat, then went over to my moms for some quick soup and rolls and then went to my grandma Norma's to say hi...we were home by 8 o'clock...which is amazing for us, i guess that's what happens when you have so many kids..it's just easier to be home....but it was a nice night.

seriously....this kid, my son decided to give himself a haircut lastnight....what was he thinking...just when his hair was getting back to the cute length again!!!!! I asked him why he would do this and he told me that he just wanted to look like Grant!!!! anyways, i shaved it as short as i could but you can still see the scalp in some places....hopefully it grows back quickly.....

these past couple of weeks theres been busy fun going on!!!
Wes started preschool, which he loves. He is always talking about his new friends now and how he really likes his teacher but she sometimes says NO. I've always been nervous to send wes to school cause i'm afraid he's going to give the teacher a run for her money....just like his dad did!!! so far, it sounds like he's doing pretty good.
grain harvest has also been in full swing here for a couple of weeks. (a LONG couple of weeks)

but i'm sure it will be over soon, and then on to potato harvest which i love that time of harvest.

the first week of school the madison high school cheerleaders put on a fundraiser where they teach the little girls a dance and a cheer and then they get to perform for half time at a football game...Nat loves doing this every year.

As you can see there were tons of girls and we were sitting way way high in the stadium, so i wasn't going to walk down to take a picture so i just used ZOOM!!!

summer time has passed so quickly and now we only have a few more weeks before school starts.....it seems so crazy to me, but time must go on..........

we have been having some very busy fun lately, so atleast we can say that we had a great summer.

Trip to Utah- eating at the Myan
swimming at cowabunga bay in Draper ut.( just opened this summer)-It's a huge water park and tons of fun!!!!

Lagoon-as always-a blast!!!!

something we have never been to before, the aquarium......i was very impressed with it. there were lots of different things including sharks and stingrays that we all were able to feel....so cool!

Egin Lakes- i haven't been there for years and so we tried it one day and i'm going to have to keep taking my kids...they loved it....shallow enough they could go out quite a ways and catch lots of yucky stuff(polywogs, leaches, and who knows)

swimming in our ditch by our house....just thought it would be a nice little way to cool the kids down and keep them entertained for a minute!!!Rigby Lake-Sure is a lot different than last year. starting this year you have to pay $5 dollors to swim there, but i guess thats alright cause they've put a lot of work into it....its alot cleaner and you can even rent paddle boats....

My little Brother Clint took off this morning for the Airforce.... I think that this will be good for him to be on his own for a while and to get out there to experience the world in a whole new view....We are very proud proud of him and will miss him while he is gone. Good luck Clint!!!

We heard that the drive in had reopened and couldn't hardly wait to get there. I remember going as a kid and having so much fun, so we thought we would try to make a memory of it for our kids....We loaded up the love sac in the back of our pickup and threw in the blankets and were off....We saw Night at the Museum 2(very good)...... I can't wait to go again.

Wow!!! This last month has been very

busy. So I am going to update you very

briefly, but yet fulfilling......

We started our month out @ Logoon

for one of Nats dance competitions.

She was so fun to watch, not to mention

her team did awesome!!!

The only down fall was that it rained the

whole time!!! So we told the kids that

since we didn't get to ride the rides that we

would take them to build a bear. They

thought that sounded fun.......

I think that the kids enjoyed most of all

was the swimming....I mean, really! what

kid doesn't like going to a Hotel to swim.

Home Sweet Home!!! AGAIN!!!

Well, we made it three weeks and were
back....to the hospital that is.....poor little guy!
-it all started with a fever, a visit
to the doctors office and them sending
us up to the hospital......after four days
of staying there we were able to come home....
-all is well now!!! but it was so sad at the
time....horrible to see your little one go through
all that torcher.....

We have been extremely busy these
last couple of weeks.
I guess having a new baby doesn't
slow you down these days!!!

the Saturday before Easter we had an
Easter egg hunt at my moms along
with coloring easter eggs.

On Sunday the kids got to wear thier
new easter clothes to church
(while Grant and I got to stay home and
sleep).
don't mind wes(a.k.a=my cute little dork)
....thats just him!!!

After church we went over to
Grandma and Grandpa Jensens and
enjoyed a wonderful easter dinner and
then the kids had a fun little easter egg
hunt. It was a nice relaxing Easter this year......

This last Saturday Nick and I took Nat to
Malad(town of nothing) id. for one of
her dance competitions....

We celebrated Ellyn's birthday lastnight with Pizza, cake and icecream.
Both of our families were there and it was great fun!!!
I just can't believe that she is 2. she is just still so little to me.....

The first present she opened were some cute little pink sandals, and if any of you know her she is a shoe freak.... so need to mention that it took alot of talk to get her to open her other presents.... She did manage though with the help of her brother, sister, and cousins!!!!

Disneyland 2009!

Last Friday Nick and I got a wild hair and felt like we needed to get out of town.....
- So Nick got online and booked us a trip to Disneyland. And then we were off that next morning. We were always talking about how fun it would be to just take off. So we finally did it. And it was well worth it............

Day 1 - we drove as far as Mesquite Nevada.

Day 2 - woke up and drove through the Valley of Fire(Which was alot neater than I thought it would be). The kids loved it. They were climbing on and in the Big red rocks.

Days 3 & 4 - We went through Disneyland and California Adventures. This place never gets old. We love it. This year Wes was even tall enough to ride the big rides, (space mountain, splash mountain, tower of terror) Which he loved through and through. Day 5 - We drove to Las vegas where we met up with Nicks parents and sister and her family, and went to a dinner and show. (WAY FUN)

Day 6 - Woke up walked around Vegas a little with Nicks Family and then we left Vegas with a long drive home.

Wishing I were still gone!!!!

For Wes's birthday we went to Green
Canyon Hot Springs with mine and Nicks
families. We went swimming, and then
afterwards we roasted hot dogs and had
cake and ice cream. It was great fun!

After waking up this morning to a whole
lot of snow, the kids could not wait to go
outside to play.......As you can see, Ellyn
literally couldn't wait. At least she thought
of getting her boots on.

I can't believe Christmas is over,
It was so fast and fun.It started out at the
annual Christmas Eve dance at the Burton church.
It's been going on for over 100 years.
You go and dance around the Christmas Tree,
then santa shows up and gives out candy to all the kids.
It's great fun!

We then head over to Nicks parents house
every christmas eve where we have a
christmas party with lots of food and Santa.
He brings toys for the kids and pjs for the adults.
Then we end the night and go home and get some sleep.

Christmas morning was so fun.
I'm still the one that wakes the kids cause
i'm just way to excited to sleep.
Nat was mostly thrilled over the movie
that came in her stocking (mama mia).
Thats her favorite show.
Wes was opening one present after another
not caring if they were his or not.
And Ellyn saw what santa brought her and
thats all she did all morning.
Good thing Wes was willing to open her presents for her.

After we opened presents we went to
my sisters house where she had breakfast
for our family. (way yummy!)
We opened more gifts and then said our
thanks and went to Nick parents house to
open gifts again and then had a big lunch.
As busy as christmas was it was great!

Wes hates getting his hair cut, so
this morning I asked him if he would
like to go and have a really cute girl
cut his hair(thinking maybe Evans
beauty colege or something). He told
me "no, I want you to cut my hair, cause
your a cute girl." I thought that was the
sweetest thing ever said. Oh so sweet....

kid is that while I was fixing dinner

I looked down and saw Wes on the

floor with the truck over his head.
I asked what he was doing and He told

Things have been so crazy busy lately that
I haven't got around to posting much, or taking
pics. So here's a bit from the past few weeks,
but i'm sure i'll have more
later on this month.

Here's a pic i just had to post of Ellyn sleeping.
I went in to check on her, and her feet were
hanging out of the crib.

Last weekend Me and Nick, and Clark and Sarah
went to SLC for the weekend. We usually take the
kids, but being prego this year it's easier to just
relax a little. Plus I had never left Ellyn overnight
yet so this was probably our only chance before the
baby comes.
It was quite fun, we ate really good and walked
Temple square to see the lights and even went
through a sessionat the Temple, which was way
AWESOME!
I didn't take to many pictures of this weekend, cause
I was just being to lazy.

When we were walking around the
Gatewaymall, we were hit with a Salesman,
and any of you who know us, is that we
can't say NO to a salesman.(way bad thing).
So needless to say we came home with a
LoveSac. Oops!
The kids sure love it.
It's been quite entertaining.

Last but not least, this is for those of you who
keep asking for the belly pic. Don't get use
to it, cause this is just way to embarrassing.
So here it is-6 mos.

One with her friends at the movies, one with
the Jensens, then Merrills, and then of course school.

So anyway, we went to the doctor

yesterday for the 20 week ultrasound.

We let Nat and Wes go with us so

they could see the baby moving around.

They thought it was pretty neat.

a fun gift to open.

I can't believe it, She's in kindergarten.
At 11:10 this morning Natalie got
on the school bus. She told me she
didn't want me to take her, so I let
her ride the bus and I met her at the
school so I could walk her in. It was
so dang cute!

tell you what, once I heard the bus
coming I started bawling like a baby.

As I see on other blogs, I notice they have the books that they are reading. I think its great those who get time to sit down and read. It's not that I don't have time to read, it's just not books that I could get lost in, and forget my worries ( a busy, never bored, no time for me, mother of THREE). So anyways, I decided to put a few books that I GET to read, that are our faves.

Cutting Potato Seed.

So anyways, I decided to cut Potato Seed for my husband this year thinking the extra cash would be nice. It was only supposed to last a week and a half, instead lasted a whole month due to the rain. Even though there were some breaks here and there it didn't feel like it. The only thing that kept me sane was Sarah(bless her heart) who helped me cut and who was there to talk too.

On Sunday we accidently slept in past church, and it was such a beautiful day so we decided to go on a drive to Jerome Id. to see Nick's good old friend, Chad.

We stopped at American Falls dam on the way.

Wes Loves to use these water changing tablets. It usually makes the water a nice yellow, blue, or pink. You can change colors to make green, purple, or so on. But one morning I walked out of the bathroom for a minute and game in to find he had dumped the whole containe in the bathtub.

Just a couple of weeks ago Nick and I, the kids, and my mom and little brother, Clint went to Disneyland. It was my moms and Clints very first time going there. It started off a little rough when we had to stop in the middle of Utah and buy new tires for our car. And Ellyn got sick and threw up twice on me in the car. After that things went pretty well. Disneyland is one of my favorited places to go. This year Natalie was tall enough to ride most of the rides. Her favorite was Tower of Terror. The kids really enjoyed seeing all of the characters. On the way home we stopped at the oceon and Wes thought that was awesome.

On March 9th Ellyn turned one. I can't believe how fast this year has gone. She is growing so fast. She's been taking her first steps and thinks thats pretty cool.
